puce Conference (day& time to be confirmed): Art and environment, Campus of Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) .

Seven visual artists will create in sitù works from plant materials found in the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Medicine of the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar. The mission of this garden of three acres is to preserve floristic diversity of Senegal.
This event will educate the public, students and pupils on the involvement of the art facing dangers due to the type of relationship between human being and his environment but also to human impact. Each artist, with his own artistic language will explore one of the theme linked to garden, respecting the principles of preservation and conservation of the environment.

A collaboration artists / students

Visual artists with various backgrounds, whose artistic approach is based on environmental ethics will take part in this project. They will be assisted in the realization of their works, by students in charge of recycling and recovering the remains of plant material found in the JEPU.

The green parade

Echoing this activity above, fashion designers chosen for their recognized concern of environmental ethics respond with a "green parade". As visual artists, fashion designers have worked "eco-responsible" fashioning costumes made ​​of 80% natural material.
