Estelle Yomeda is a French-Togolese artist and designer. In 2017, she founded Kente Project Art Lab, a nomadic design studio conceived as a laboratory of craftsmanship, through which she reinterprets ancestral craft techniques as she forges links with artisans in Lomé. Since 2021, she has been refining her artistic vision by focusing on the creation of furniture and sculptural objects that blur the line between art and design.

Her practice links transgenerational memories with animist philosophy, emphasising the work of the hand to enhance the raw beauty of nature.

In addition to a solo exhibition at the Maria Wettergren Gallery, she has taken part in the ‘Unity in Multiplicity’ exhibition at the Palais de Lomé and will be featured in the ‘Kings and Queens of Africa’ exhibition at the Musée du Quai Branly in 2027.
