Trained in interior architecture at the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Kinshasa, he went on to study at the École supérieure d’art de Dunkerque and then completed a master’s degree at the École nationale supérieure des arts visuels (ENSAV) de La Cambre in Brussels. He is particularly interested in cod as a symbolic object of trade, colonial legacies, and processes of acculturation. Through installation, sculpture, and assemblage, he articulates materials, narratives, and economic systems in order to question the construction of identities situated between several cultural spaces.
