Hady Barry est une artiste guinéo-américaine qui travaille avec la photographie et les mots pour explorer la mémoire et l’intimité. Sa pratique est introspective, portée par le désir de retenir ce que la plupart des gens cherchent à oublier. Elle est Foam Talent runner-up 2026/2027 et Building Beyond Fellow (Cycle 5), programme du Prince Claus Fund, et a été présélectionnée pour le Grand Prix Images Vevey 2025/2026. Son premier livre photographique, i am (not) your mother, a reçu la Mention spéciale du jury aux Aperture Photobook Awards 2024. Son travail a notamment été présenté avec la National Portrait Gallery au Royaume-Uni et la Sharjah Art Foundation. Membre d’African Women in Photography, elle est diplômée de Georgetown University en économie, avec un certificat en études africaines, et de l’UC Berkeley-Haas, où elle a obtenu un MBA.
