Kolawolé Dagbé Mikhaël Atcho est un artiste visuel et photographe béninois dont la pratique explore la mémoire, l’identité et les récits oubliés. Se définissant comme un couturier de l’invisible, il associe photographie, broderie, dessin et signes issus de différents répertoires culturels afin de réactiver des histoires fragmentées. Autodidacte, il puise dans les réalités sociales du Bénin et dans l’observation d’espaces en mutation, notamment à travers les séries Nùdida, Ayihún et Allada Tan. Également engagé dans les industries culturelles et créatives au Bénin, il développe une recherche où patrimoine, transmission et expérimentation matérielle se rencontrent.
Kolawolé Dagbé Mikhaël Atcho is a Beninese visual artist and photographer whose practice explores memory, identity, and forgotten narratives. Describing himself as a « couturier of the invisible, » he combines photography, embroidery, drawing, and signs taken from different cultural repertoires to reactivate fragmented histories. Self-taught, he draws on the social realities of Benin and on his observation of spaces in transformation, notably through the series Nùdida, Ayihún, and Allada Tan. Also engaged in Benin’s cultural and creative industries, he develops a body of research in which heritage, transmission, and material experimentation meet.
