The 12th edition of the Biennale of Contemporary African Art in Dakar (Dak’Art) will take place from May 3 to June 2, 2016. The Senegalese Minister of Culture installed, October 22, the steering committee, which has 30 members.
Headed by the president of the National Council of Employers (CNP), Baïdy Agne, this Committee shall consist of thirty members, with among other artists like the sculptor Ndary Lo, the painter and textile artist Aissa Dione, ceramist and sculptor Mauro Petroni Daouda Ndiaye.
But also, Cabinet Director of the Minister of Culture and Communication, Rémi Sagna, director of Arts, Abdoulaye Koundoul and sociologist Moustapha Tamba, this committee is in charge of designing the general outline of the Biennale and everything that is implementation and evaluation of DAK’ART, which is only another name for the Biennale.
