Modou Dieng est né à Saint-Louis, au Sénégal. Il est un artiste multidisciplinaire qui explore le pouvoir symbolique et mythologique de la culture pop à travers des médias mixtes et des matériaux hybrides. Son travail construit une fresque d’images culturelles archétypales filtrées à travers la perspective d’une identité partagée entre la négritude et la philosophie africaine. Dieng a exposé à l’échelle internationale et est le cofondateur de Blackpuffin, une société de conservation basée à Chicago. Dieng est titulaire d’un MFA du San Francisco Art Institute.
Modou Dieng was born in Saint-Louis, Senegal. He is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the symbolic and mythological power of pop culture through mixed media and hybrid materials.
