Née à Paris en 1992, Férielle Doulain-Zouari est une artiste franco-tunisienne qui vit et travaille à Tunis. À travers l’utilisation de techniques manuelles qui opèrent au présent, elle questionne les différentes cohabitations qui existent entre le monde naturel et l’artificiel. Elle interroge les manières de représenter matériellement la rencontre, la réconciliation et le dénouement de conflits (identitaire, contextuel…). Ses travaux prennent la forme d’installations, de sculptures et de tissages de différentes factures. Ils sont liés à la vie quotidienne, s’inspirent de l’environnement, des éléments qui l’entourent (matériaux industriels, objets fonctionnels, flore locale) et des systèmes de débrouille mis en œuvre au quotidien. Son atelier se déplace selon les opportunités rencontrées, y compris auprès d’artisans ouvriers. A travers ce parcours, la référence au travail manuel est devenue essentielle dans sa création ainsi que la volonté de susciter échanges et interrogations grâce à un langage plastique. Férielle Zouari a exposé son travail en Tunisie, en France, au Chili, en Algerie, en Autriche, et au Burkina Faso à l’occasion de la Biennale de Sculpture de Ouagadougou.
Born in Paris in 1992, Férielle Doulain-Zouari is a French-Tunisian artist who lives and works in Tunis. Through the use of manual techniques that operate in the present, she questions the different cohabitations that exist between the natural world and the artificial. She questions the ways of materially representing the meeting, the reconciliation and the denouement of conflicts (identity, contextual…). Her work takes the form of installations, sculptures and weavings of various kinds. They are linked to daily life, inspired by the environment, the elements that surround it (industrial materials, functional objects, local flora) and the scrambling systems implemented in everyday life. Her workshop moves according to the opportunities encountered, including with craftsmen. Through this journey, the reference to manual work has become essential in her creation as well as the desire to provoke exchanges and questions through a plastic language. Férielle Zouari has exhibited her work in Tunisia, France, Chile, Algeria, Austria, and in Burkina Faso on the occasion of the Ouagadougou Biennale of Sculpture.
