Né à Dakar, Abasse Ndiaye, plus connu sous le nom de Karo Zen, est un informaticien de formation qui s’est converti en artiste photographe. Il vit et travaille à Dakar. Il débute en 2010 comme photographe et caméraman autodidacte dans l’association YATAAL ART dont il est membre fondateur et se spécialise complètement dans la photographie à partir de 2016. Après avoir participé à plusieurs projets du Musée à Ciel ouvert situé à la Médina, dont notamment, Transmission avec Ifa et Kaani dans la Dak’art Biennale OFF 2016 et Dak’art Brut dans la Dak’art Biennale OFF 2018, plusieurs Biennales. Il a également participé aux Partcours 7 à 10. Son travail s’inspire énormément des éléments de la vie quotidienne dans les quartiers de Dakar et on peut le qualifier de STREET ART PHOTOGRAPHIE.
Born in Dakar, Abasse Ndiaye, better known as Karo Zen, is a computer scientist by training who became a photographic artist. He lives and works in Dakar. He started in 2010 as a self-taught photographer and cameraman in the association YATAAL ART of which he is a founding member and specializes completely in photography from 2016. After participating in several projects of the Open Sky Museum located in the Medina, including Transmission with Ifa and Kaani in the Dak’art Biennale OFF 2016 and Dak’art Brut in the Dak’art Biennale OFF 2018, several Biennales. He also participated in Partcours 7 to 10. His work is very much inspired by the elements of everyday life in the neighborhoods of Dakar and can be described as STREET ART PHOTOGRAPHY.
