Abderrahmane Ngaïdé est enseignant chercheur au département d’histoire de la faculté des lettres et sciences humaines de l’université Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD). Il est l’auteur de nombreux articles publiés dans des revues spécialisées et de contributions à des ouvrages collectifs. Il est également essayiste, romancier, poète et plasticien. Son travail plastique est essentiellement posé sur le végétal. Arpenteur infatigable des rues de Dakar, son regard porte également sur les formes étranges de certaines plantes décoratives notamment les bougainvilliers qui sont des prétextes de formes pour ses associations intellectuelles originales et décapantes.

 

Abderrahmane Ngaïdé is a research professor in the History Department of the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences of Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD). He is the author of numerous articles published in specialized journals and of contributions to collective works. He is also an essayist, novelist, poet and plastic artist. His plastic work is essentially laid on the plants. A tireless surveyor of the streets of Dakar, his gaze also focuses on the strange shapes of certain decorative plants, in particular bougainvillea, which are pretexts of forms for his original and caustic intellectual associations.
