ELon-m Catilina Tossou est un peintre né à Oumako au Bénin. Il découvre l’art dès son plus jeune âge et suit plusieurs formations artistiques. En 2010, il remporte le premier prix du Prom’Art jeune puis du concours national d’art scolaire, CONAASCO et est nommé meilleur peintre aux Bénin Golden Awards (BGA). Passionné par la couleur et sensible à l’environnement , il mène une recherche sur les pigments et liants. Dans un objectif de transmission et valorisation, il explore les thèmes des rites vaudou, de la transe et de l’initiation. Il participe à plusieurs ateliers et résidences où il apprend au contact de grands peintres internationaux. Il a exposé au Bénin, au Sénégal, au Nigeria, au Togo, au Ghana et en Chine.
ELon-m Catilina Tossou is a painter born in Oumako in Benin. He discovered art at a very young age and followed several artistic training courses. In 2010, he won the first prize of the Prom’Art jeune and then of the national school art competition, CONAASCO and was named best painter at the Benin Golden Awards (BGA). Passionate about color and sensitive to the environment, he conducts research on pigments and binders. With the objective of transmission and valorization, he explores the themes of voodoo rites, trance and initiation. He participates in several workshops and residencies where he learns in contact with great international painters. He has exhibited in Benin, Senegal, Nigeria, Togo, Ghana and China.
