Elize Vossgätter (née en 1981 à Johannesburg) est une artiste basée au Cap et à Leipzig. Elle a obtenu un BA (FA) de l’Université du Cap en 2002. Elle a organisé quatre expositions personnelles depuis 2012 et a participé à diverses expositions collectives et foires d’art locales et internationales. Ses résidences ont eu une influence déterminante sur son travail, notamment à Istanbul (2013), au Centre d’art international Art Omi (NY, États-Unis d’Amérique) et à Pilotenkueche (Leipzig, 2017). Cette dernière a particulièrement touché son travail. Elle a débuté un nouveau cycle de son travail et a donc transféré sa pratique artistique à Leipzig, où elle travaille actuellement sur sa prochaine exposition solo.
Elize Vossgätter (b.1981, Johannesburg) is an artist based in Cape Town and Leipzig. She obtained a BA(FA) from University of Cape Town in 2002. She has held four solo exhibitions since 2012 and participated in various group exhibitions and art fairs locally and internationally. Her residencies have had an influential effect on her work notably in Istanbul (2013), Art Omi International Arts Centre (NY, USA, 2016) and Pilotenkueche (Leipzig, 2017). The latter affected her work most notably beginning a new cycle in her work thus moving her art practice to Leipzig where she is currently working on her next solo exhibition.
