Ola Hassanain (née en 1985 à Khartoum) est une artiste soudanaise basée à Amsterdam. Sa pratique traverse l’architecture, le film, la performance et l’installation pour examiner les politiques de l’habiter et la manière dont les systèmes écologiques et sociaux se façonnent mutuellement. Elle s’intéresse particulièrement à la façon dont le pouvoir devient visible et sensible à travers les environnements construits. Parmi ses expositions personnelles récentes, figurent The Watcher (Tell The Waters What The Clay Kept Secret III) au Kunstinstituut Melly, Rotterdam, en 2025, et Whispers (Tell The Waters What The Clay Kept Secret II) à Büro Stedelijk, Amsterdam, en 2024. Elle a également participé à la Chicago Architecture Biennial en 2019.
Ola Hassanain (born in 1985 in Khartoum) is a Sudanese artist based in Amsterdam. Working across architecture, film, performance, and installation, her practice examines the politics of dwelling and the ways ecological and social systems shape one another. She is particularly interested in how power becomes visible and perceptible through built environments. Recent solo exhibitions include The Watcher (Tell The Waters What The Clay Kept Secret III) at Kunstinstituut Melly, Rotterdam, in 2025, and Whispers (Tell The Waters What The Clay Kept Secret II) at Büro Stedelijk, Amsterdam, in 2024.
