Uriel Orlow est connu pour ses œuvres cinématographiques à écran unique, des conférences et des installations modulaires multimédias qui se concentrent sur des lieux et des micro-histoires spécifiques, et travaillent différents régimes d’images et des modes narratifs basés sur la correspondance. Sa pratique est axée sur la recherche, les processus, la multidisciplinarité, au moyen du cinéma, de la photographie, du dessin et du son. Son travail porte sur les résidus du colonialisme, les manifestations spatiales de la mémoire, les angles morts de la représentation et les plantes comme acteurs politiques. Uriel Orlow is known for single-screen film works, lecture performances and modular, multi-media installations that focus on specific locations and micro-histories and bring different image-regimes and narrative modes into correspondence. His practice is research-based, process-oriented and multi-disciplinary and includes film, photography, drawing and sound. His work is concerned with residues of colonialism, spatial manifestations of memory, blind spots of representation and plants as political actors.
